ShipIT is Volvo Group’s internal logistics platform used to manage the transportation of thousands of parts that feed the production lines, including sensitive and specialized components that require strict handling conditions. Given the scale and complexity of Volvo’s operations, the platform plays a critical role in ensuring materials move efficiently across regions and suppliers. When I joined the project in mid-2025, ShipIT was already an established system, but its usability, performance, and alignment with Volvo’s brand and design standards needed significant improvement. My work focused on redesigning this platform into a more intuitive, consistent, and scalable tool for the many teams that rely on it daily.
